RECRUITMENT OF PROSPECTIVE FASHION DESIGNERS (GUAN DISTRICT)

Background

As part of Write for World Organisation’s goal to economically empower at risk teenage girls and single mothers, we are recruiting the first batch of participants from the Guan District of the Oti Region for an intensive skill training in fashion design, sewing and general fashion styling for a period of 12 Months free of charge.

Objective of the Programme

 This pogramme among others aims at improving the employability of beneficiaries for the job market and helping them to become self-sufficient. Beneficiaries would be provided with startup equipment and tools after satisfactorily acquiring the basic skill needed to establish and manage a Fashion Design shop at their various communities.

Who Qualifies?

Applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Female within the ages of 16 and 24 years (School dropouts included)
  • Come from Likpe, Santrokofi and Akpafu  in the Guan District
  • Shall be willing and ready to fully participate in the 12 Month programme
  • Shall be willing and ready to leave her comfort zone and be hosted and trained in Ho, the Volta Regional Capital for the said period
  • Shall have a guarantor to support with feeding and other personal upkeep

Accommodation

Hostel facility shall be provided by the organisation free of charge

No application shall be entertained after the deadline. Officials of the organisation shall notify shortlisted applicants of a date for further physical interaction in applicants’ communities before final selection by the select committee.
