BACKGROUND |
Write for World is a youth led Limited by Guarantee Company that combines the synergy of members with expertise in Education, Research and Entrepreneurship to change lives. In line with its goal to provide sustainable economic empowerment for young and at risk single mothers, the organisation with support from its sponsor has initiated the Centre for Vocation and Trade Project(CeVoTraP), equipped with modern tools and accessories to train vulnerable and marginalised young girls from deprived communities, with sellable skills that will among others improve the employability of same for the job market and help them to become self-sufficient. Write for World LBG, is looking for the services of a self-motivated, passionate and committed Female Fashion Design Trainer for immediate assignment. |
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
Be in charge of the Centre for Vocation and Trade Project (CeVoTraP) Be responsible for training beneficiaries to acquire the needed skills (theory and practical) for the Fashion Industry Ensure strict adherence to project policy and implementation procedures Take record of centre inventory, monitor use of same and draw budget for management’s consideration and approval Research trends, create design concepts and oversee the production process Collaborate with other industry players to offer periodic marketing strategy coaching to project beneficiaries Organise exhibition platforms for project beneficiaries to showcase their handiworks Ensure smooth transition of beneficiaries from traineeship to mastery stage Perform other duties to be assigned by the Executive Director |
QUALIFICATION |
A prospective applicant must meet the following criteria: Female between 21 – 35 years Proficient in the English Language and any other Ghanaian Language Have a good Diploma/HND/Degree in Fashion Design or Fine Art Have a relevant training/ Certificate as a Fashion Designer Produce sample works either in soft copies or hard copies when shortlisted Proven work experience as Fashion Designer for at least three(3) years Proficient with Microsoft word, Excel and Adobe illustrator Have multi-tasking abilities Familiar with organisational management principles |

Must have a strong verbal and written communication skills Must have good analytical and problem solving skills Must be committed to community outreach initiatives Must have strong organisational skills and pay attention to details Must have the ability to collaborate effectively with like-minded stakeholders and other Not- for Profit organisations to meet desired goal and objectives |
